Woolen Rugs, water and fire resistant

Your home is the best place to rest when you are out in your work; it is good to comfortably sit in the couch while resting your feet in the warm area rugs. Wool rugs are fairly resistant to fire. It will not flame up even if it does burn; nor will it melt.

This means that safety is a big advantage of woolen rugs, unlike rugs made from synthetic fibers. You can make woolen rugs as part of your home decoration and you can make it as a good and approachable style to your visitors. Such rugs can catch fire very easily, and can set fire to other things as well. If a woolen rug starts burning, the fire does not spread easily; it tends to go out or be contained within a small area.

Wool is also a good choice as far as another element water is concerned. Knotted rug can repel water and other liquids, because the quality of the wool does not allow fluids to be absorbed. This is very useful as far as cleaning goes. Wool is a very natural kind of decor taken from the nature. If someone drops some liquid on a woolen rug, the spill does not soak in, and it can easily be sponged off. Take a close look at a liquid spill to see the tiny drops of water clinging to the surface, but not soaking in.
