The Natural Element of Wool Area Rugs

Wool is known to be abundant in some countries where the rugs weaving are one of the sources of their livelihood and income. Wool rugs has been imported and exported in some parts of the world as a means of shelter and comfort to every home. Wool is made of garments, clothes and rugs which becomes a popular t o the people.

Wool area rugs are resistant to fire and it will not flame up even if it does burn nor will it melt. This only shows that safety is a big advantage of wool rugs, unlike rugs made from synthetic fibers. Such rugs can catch fire very easily, and can set fire to other things as well. If a woolen rug starts burning, the fire does not spread easily; it tends to go out or be contained within a small area.

Natural materials like modern wool rugs have had a comeback the past few years, led by the interest in reducing carbon footprints and using healthier products in our daily lives. One of the most overlooked products for the home is the common household rug.
