Wool and Industry, Uses and History of Wool

Wool can be get from the living animals such as goats, camels and sheep’s by sheering its fleece. Most of the people used wool as a means of clothing. Even the early prehistoric man used sheepskin as their clothing. Wool has a very warm fiber and non conductors of heat; this means that it permits to enmesh still air. It is non absorbent in the water that was emit by the air and releases the moisture. These are only few of the many characteristics of the wool.

Wool has been used in the early civilization which is even showed and recorded in the bible. Shepherds watch their ships day and night in order not to be harmed by the howling wolf who wanted the flesh of the helpless sheep. This shows how important the sheep for them for its fleece has become their commodities in making their body coverings.

Centuries had past but the needs of the industry to the wool become more and more in demand, Business industries had made one of the primary sources of income through wool products. It is accepted by most of the people to be used because of its non harmful effect to the environment.

Wool is one of the primary materials in making wool rugs which is placed in every home who wants to have comfort and elegance. It can be used as a mere decoration of a warm placement of foot during the cold season. Wool has different variation depending on how it is being made, there are wools that have soaked and dry who obtains color and there are also pure white which is the original color of the wool itself.
